Ex Battery Cage Hens
I debated with myself if this should be posted in "The Good" due to the condition of the hens. This is a good video because these girls were rescued from an egg farm in May 2010 in HULL, East Yorkshire, UK. This video shows their first week of freedom. I started crying when they were able to build a nest. These hens still have their beaks. It is common practice in the U.S. to cut and soldered. You can clearly see the abuse that these animals go through to lay the eggs that are sold at the grocery store. Please buy pastured eggs from healthy, happy chickens.
